Silicon metal is also called industrial silicon or crystalline silicon. It is dark gray. Of high melting point, superior heat resistance, resistivity and excellent anti-oxidization. The usual size of industrial silicon area is in the range of 10-100MM or 2-25MM.
Silicon metal is manufactured with carbonaceous reducing agents and silica in hot stove. Mainly used in production of alloys especially aluminum alloys, poly-crystalline silicon and organic silicon materials.
